When thinking about aesthetics and wellness trends in 2026, we first looked back at our 2025 predictions for aesthetics and wellness trends. We think they were spot on! Two major movements in the health and wellness industry last year focused on obesity and weight management, as well as women’s health.

More specifically, GLP-1 agonists like Ozempic gained further popularity, becoming more widely available, available in different doses, and available in different methods.

Exilis Ultra Face aesthetics & wellnessAs it relates to women’s health, advocates started speaking out about the need for better care during the menopause transition, and the FDA lifted the black box warning on hormone replacement therapy. As a result, more women started getting better medical care. Care providers also became more aware and sensitive to women’s other health needs during the menopause transition.

Further, the importance of sleep, nutrition, and building muscle were key messages in conversations about longevity and quality of life.

This is only the beginning and more change is needed. Here at Body Works Med Spa & Wellness, we anticipate that these movements will continue into 2026 and other important elements will come to the forefront.

Here are our predictions for aesthetics and wellness trends in 2026.

  1. Further integration of aesthetics and wellness.

In the med spa world, the focus has always been on aesthetics. Moving into 2026, we’re seeing the focal point shift to wellness. The truth is that aesthetics will always be a pillar in this industry because it contributes to wellness – when people look good, they also feel good. But aesthetics is becoming just one piece of the bigger wellness puzzle. Join us in watching this development unfold in 2026.

  1. A shift towards body contouring as wellness, not just aesthetics.

Emsculpt Neo aesthetics & wellnessWhen body contouring became popular, it was all about reducing fat and tightening skin to look slimmer and tauter. There will always be a place for that, but now there’s a growing interest in body contouring treatments to strengthen muscle.

This is where Emsculpt Neo shines. This device continues to revolutionize the industry with its ability to strengthen muscle groups as well as reduce fat and tighten skin in the treated area.

The utility of Emsculpt Neo treatments is seemingly endless. People on GLP-1 agonists like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Semaglutide use this device to prevent them from losing essential muscle mass. Athletes use it to level up their fitness. Elderly folks use Emsculpt Neo to minimize their fall risk. Post-partum women do treatments to help repair diastasis recti and regain strength. These are just a few examples of body contouring as wellness, a definite aesthetics and wellness trend in 2026.

  1. Treating the whole person – face, body, and mind.

Facial aesthetics has always formed the foundation of the aesthetics industry by commanding the greatest market share. Then, body aesthetics and wellness came along including skin, contouring, and strengthening procedures. In fact, Body Works Med Spa & Wellness started out in this sub-industry by bringing premium body technologies like Emsella, Emsculpt Neo, and Exilis Ultra to Nova Scotia.

Now, mental wellness is finally getting the attention it deserves. Until recently, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation has been either difficult or impossible for most people to access. Last year, Body Works Med Spa & Wellness along with other forward-thinking providers across North America made Exomind TMS available in a non-stigmatized environment. We’re proud to be the first provider of Exomind TMS is Atlantic Canada, making this wonderful drug-free therapy more accessible. In 2026, we expect to see growing demand for mental health and wellness treatments. In fact, better mental health and wellness care may be its own aesthetics and wellness trend in 2026.

  1. Neurostimulation as the future of mental health and wellness.

Exomind TMS aesthetics & wellness trend 2026Neurostimulation uses mild electrical impulses or magnetic field energy to modulate nerve activity. It illustrates a circuit-based understanding of the brain as opposed to a purely chemical-based understanding.

Exomind TMS is a type of neurostimulation, for example. It enhances neural pathways to treat a range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, insomnia, chronic stress, migraines, post-concussive symptoms, and brain fog.

Based on the research and our patient outcomes, neurostimulation shows enormous promise. As a drug-free therapy with no long-term side effects that often works when medication doesn’t, we believe that neurostimulation is the new frontier and future of mental health.
